Last week we began a new care home build project in Camberley, Surrey, to demolish the existing building and build a brand new building behind the front facade that is being retained.
The existing building is situated in a conservation area, so much thought has gone into keeping the character of the extended building as well as the surrounding trees and greenery. By keeping the original frontage of the Edwardian building and sympathetically extending at the rear and sides, the new building will provide 8 one bedroom and 2 two bedroom apartments. Allowing residents to live independently, whilst allowing them to have access and be included in the local community enjoying educational, occupational, social and leisure facilities.
Over the course of the project, inline with granted planning permission, we will build a two-storey extension with accommodation in the roof/three-storey to the front, side and rear with dormers to the side and rear; following the demolition of the existing two-storey rear addition.
A car park will be provided to the front and east side of the new home providing parking for up to nine cars. The existing access to the road would remain unaltered and the majority of the trees on site will be retained.
